In the wild, wolves are vital to nature. They keep the fragile ecosystem properly balanced. The balance between the spiritual realm and that of mankind is kept in check by the Silverclaw. A royal bloodline of mystical beasts that can take the form of man. To call them werewolves is an insult.  The darkness of the spiritual realm rarely crosses over thanks to their efforts. Folklore and urban myths are the only reminders of past incidents.
